That is why during the Lok Sabha elections, they decided to take the game to India's soil and set the schedule. Although it was heard that a part of the IPL might be arranged in the UAE or any other country.
In that case, the city where the elections are held, the IPL matches were not held in that city. In the past, the IPL matches were organized in South Africa in 2009 due to the Lok Sabha elections.
"The entire tournament is being held in the Indian soil," the board statement said. In addition, each franchisee has the opportunity to play in their seven homemacht's own field. The whole tournament will be home-based.

Before the release of the Lok Sabha elections, the Indian board has indicated the IPL's first 17 matches till April 5. In these two weeks, six teams have played four and Delhi and Bangalore have played five matches, the BCCI said.
